I have seen more and more cases of children and adults with executive functioning deficits and I believe it is an impairment that is not well understood. Therefore, I have asked today’s guest, Dr. Adam Russo, to help explain this disorder and how it is expressed. Dr. Adam Russo is the assistant director of Holtz Psychological Services in Melville, Long Island. He completed his Neuropsychological training through Fielding Graduate University, The University of Alabama, Jacksonville, and The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northport, NY. He works with children, adolescents, adults and couples. Dr. Russo is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Hypnosis and EMDR. Dr. Russo specializes in ADHD, childhood behavior problems, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, group psychotherapy, and complex psychological issues. Adam treats children with Aspergers and other developmental conditions. Dr. Russo has been called to court to testify in matters of child endangerment, drug and alcohol related crimes, and interpersonal violence. His research interests include personality assessment and psychotherapy treatment outcome |
