In the news today:
It’s time for school to start again and with it, school sports. That means it’s time to brush up on head injuries. Here’s an article from EMS Responder on concussions.

And here’s an article out of Medline that discusses public placement of AED’s.

Out of WebMD, here’s an article on how much Americans spend on alternaitve health care. If you haven’t woken up to this type of therapy, it may be time!

Something to use in your daily practice…..researchers have found a link between dimentia medications and hyperglycemia in older adult diabetic patients.

And last, but not least, here’s an article from nurse.com on how one hospital (Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, N.Y.) orients their new nurses to both the OR and the ED. From reading it, it sounds like THIS hospital nursing department doesn’t eat their young!

And finally…………..here’s the podcast. Enjoy!
